Plate Loading  Sets are used to determine the ultimate bearing capacity of compacted foundation and subgrade soil road components in the field.

It provides data for the design and evaluation of rigid and flexible type airport and highway subfloors.

The test consists of applying a load to a steel loading plate placed on the sheet to be measured with the help of a hydraulic jack and detecting the deformation

occurring in the sheet is carried out by way of.

This test basically consists of loading the circular steel plate 30-75 cm in diameter at the foundation level and determining the settlement amount corresponding to

each load increase.

The bearing capacity of the ground is calculated with the help of the settlement-load curve obtained as a result of the experiment.

It gives information about the bearing capacity of the ground under load and its behavior.
