Irrometer Tensiometer Service Unit
The Irrometer Tensiometer Service Unit is used to test the accuracy of the gauge on the tensiometer.
Service Units are designed to assist users with the placement and setup of tensiometer soil moisture indicators, interpretation and maintenance of readings.
The Test Pump Service Unit differs in that it includes a pump with an integrated vacuum gauge that registers in centripetal (cb) or kilopascals.
The main component of the Service Unit is the Tensiometer Pump.
The pump is designed to seal the reservoir part of the instrument body and is used to manually create a vacuum by evacuating the air contained in the tensiometer.
These tools operate with the highest precision when all air is removed.
A Service Unit can be used with more than one tensiometer
The Tensiometer Fluid, supplied with the Service Unit accessory, adds color to the water for easy water level observation.
